- if it's meant for you, it won't be inconsistent.
if it's meant for you, it won't be inconsistent.
sharing is caring.
Today is December 2nd. i am hoping to tie together some loose ends but i don’t want to set your expectations on ‘direct digestible clarity’. i am drawn to parables and idioms - i’m starting to find that English is less menacing when what is said must be meditated on or marinated in.
A list of Beliefs - limiting & otherwise:
i believe We are all addicts. dependent on the external. unpack any judgement around this.
i believe that prevention is the only cure, everything else is repair at most.
i believe most parents have never loved their children. They may have adored, cared for, protected, and nurtured them - even loved the idea of them, or the idea of kids, but not their individual child / children as individuals free of obligation and expectation. Perfect love casts out fear. i know this from the love of my ma. i’ve always felt we, she and i, were two sides of the same coin - different directions, same goal. She raised me seeing me, as me. She recognizes her failures - and together we hold each other accountable to dismantling division and nurturing supportive boundaries. She is my generational wealth - i might be the most privileged person on Earth.
i believe conflict arises because peace was disturbed, thus the goal, agenda, and desire of conflict is to restore and ensure prolonged peace. When i say peace - i am using it as a synonym for homeostasis which is defined as:
The word homeostasis comes from the Greek words homio, meaning "similar to", and stasis, meaning "standing still".
the process by which living organisms maintain a stable internal environment, despite changes in their external environment. It's a state of balance that allows the body to function properly and survive.
an organism's tendency to maintain stability or equilibrium through various behavioral processes. For example, temperature regulation is achieved via shivering, sweating, or panting, and satiety is achieved by the initiation and then cessation of feeding behavior.
Ecological homeostasis is the ability of an ecosystem to maintain a state of balance or equilibrium, despite disturbances. This is achieved through a combination of biodiversity and the interactions between species, such as predation, competition, and decomposition.
In an ecosystem in homeostasis, the populations of species fluctuate around an average value in cycles. When an ecosystem is not in homeostasis, populations may increase or decrease rapidly. For example, human activities like deforestation and climate change can cause the populations of many species to decrease rapidly.
Negative feedback loops are a key mechanism that helps ecosystems achieve homeostasis. In a negative feedback loop, an increase in some output of a system causes a decrease in that same output. For example, if there is a sudden increase in grass due to rain, the deer population will increase. This will then cause the grass population to decrease, which will in turn cause the deer population to drop back to normal
This makes me loop back to chaos theory ~ which most people don’t know they actually know about, you probably know it as “The Butterfly Effect”. Now, this is also where i lament my upbringing and touch my “Why”, because i was ROBBED of the opportunity to learn about anything i’m currently obsessed with, like quantum physics, which is basically just science poetry and the COOLEST thing ever - so is philosophy and i’m not talking the stodgy shit, i’m talkin critical thought, theory, and discussion folks. i’m talkin salon soiree and make it an entire city’s global reputation and, arguably, sole redeeming factor after and during war crime after atrocity after despicable deed - i am speaking of France. anyway moving on ~
i believe that the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, among nearly every other Supreme Court decision, makes a lot of sense. i’m willing to bet none of them can touch their own toes and have been dehydrated for a solid decade at minimum. Not a single one of them looks Well.
i believe any system “American’s” put in place is going to be hypocritical at minimum and perpetuating the root issue which is - We lied and utterly decimated the Indigenous people’s , m a n y cultures in their entirety, and this is not our land. We simply cannot establish jackdiddlysquat. Because we are really fucking bad at it. This is simple tact. Basic. Black voices, the Irish, Italians, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Chamorros, Polynesians, and far to many more peoples, who’s cultures are forever imbued with the fires of colonizations horrible reality - their voices are irreplaceable. But we cannot continue to add to the subjegation, silence, removal and COLONIZATION of this land - Turtle Island. Yes, our memories are here, for generations even. My black side has been here nearly 10 generations longer than my white side. But this is not our land. And we are products of a very sick society.
i believe only humans are meant to solve human problems. human consequences come from human choices. chaos is cultivated.
i believe we blaspheme The Creator, The Life Force, when we cry out for divine intervention that is in total denial of personal agency or consequence. Maybe that’s a complicated way of saying something like this: if a child who has been told, here is a new bike and here’s how to take care of it - and then they leave it out in the rain in the yard over and over and over and you’re just like hey dude that’s probably not the best, and the kids like lalalallalalala and then boom one day - rust all over, squeaky this, squawky that - useless bike. And then the kid is like wahahhaa whahhhhh boo hoooo ya know just like ohhhh my goooooodd ppplllllsssss I (capital I here) need a new bike like whhhhyyyyy ooooooohhhhh and then - doesn’t get a new bike. And is just PISSED. ——- do u see where i’m goin? U see what i’m sayin? It’s like - we owe it to ourselves to stop being shitty pissant kids ya know? We do. We really do. ❤️
